Katherine Jean Bolduan (also known professionally as Kate Bolduan) is an American broadcast journalist. The most recognizable role she has played is anchorwoman for CNN's morning show At This Hour. Her previous roles included cohost of the CNN morning programs on weekdays, New Day and The Situation Room. Bolduan was part of CNN the award-winning news coverage of the 2012 and 2016 presidential election. Her prior experience included working as an Washington DC based correspondent, reporting on each of the US House and Senate. In her time as a member of the Capitol Hill Unit Bolduan reported on the legislative cycle and congressional events such as discussions to raise the federal debt limit and super committee deliberations. Her general assignment work has included stories about Christmas Day, the Christmas Day Bombing, Obamacare's Supreme Court Decision and implementation of the government's stimulus plan in 2009. Her first assignment was with CNN Newsource in 2007. She worked as an CNN Newsource national correspondent, offering breaking news and feature reporting to more than 800 CNN Newsource affiliated stations. In the past, she was a reporter for NBC News MSNBC and WTVD-TV. She resides in New York City, with her husband and two kids.
