Personal highlights for her so far including getting hand-picked by Snoop Dogg to accompany him on stage during the YouTube Brandcast in May 2013 Niykee is able to maintain an unstoppable songwriting schedule despite the hectic recent times. Songwriting is a source of inspiration for hopeful producers. Niykee listens constantly to music and comes across beats that spark ideas. She states that she can discern if a beat is a good one in less than 5 seconds. And then, a brand new song may pop up in her brain. While I'm on my back porch playing guitar, lyrics will come out and can be completed in less than thirty minutes. Niykee has found that her memories of pain provide endless sources of inspiration. "Even in the absence of writing about my life directly the grief of losing my sister and the pain of my childhood experiences are integrated into my songs," she says. This influences my music and builds this deeper significance behind everything that is an important thing that I value. It is important to me to realize that I can hear any of my songs in 20 years from now and still feel proud of the things I had to say.
